“Cubed” is a sculpture that comes out of a love of sacred geometry. The shape inside the
cube is a stellated octahedron or a star tetrahedron, also referred to as a Merkabah. The
Merkabah was a an object of visionary contemplation for early mystics. It is an ancient concept, and is a device used in sacred geometry meditation practice.
The shape is composed of two interlocking tetrahedrons. Seen as an energy field, it symbolizes the integration and balance of
masculine and feminine qualities, as well as the connection between heaven and earth.
