Melodie Owen

Melodie Owen is a designer and maker of bold sculptural jewelry crafted in various types of metals and added color using gems, enamel, glass, fabrics and repurposed objects. 

Her previous career in designing and building custom homes helped develop design skills and the understanding of structural principles, which serve her well in the design and making of complex pieces of jewelry. 

In addition to her metal work Melodie also has integrated the Japanese art of braiding known as Kumihimo into her repertoire of design skills.  She has introduced the braid as a stand alone piece of jewelry and also elevates the metal work by adding the elegance of the Kumihimo braids.
